Pink Birthday

Another quick and simple card for a friend. Everything the past 6 weeks has had to be quick and simple. Doing the move thing, you know. We're back in Kentucky now, trying to get used to the humidity. Like the heat, not the humidity. Colorado spoiled us. No humidity there.

Anyway, back to the card. I can't remember the patterned paper (it's still packed away), Sizzlets swirl die, Nesties rectangle scallop die, and Scrappy Cat sentiment stamp. Chalk ink, white (yes, it IS white) satin ribbon and prima's with a tiny gem top it all off.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you are having a nice spring day...it is unusually overcast and rainy here today...not a good day for an Easter egg hunt. Here are just a few Easter cards I made... I actually made a few more, but the pictures don't do them justice...I don't have the cards anymore to re-photograph and I'm a bit embarrased to post them.

The first uses Amuse stamps...love those little chicks! The second uses a favorite Penny Black bunny and a Savvy sentiment.

Birthday tent topper

A tent topper card inspired by Michelle Wooderson
Something a little different, but still an A2 sized card. Used my nesties for the circles and the SU! scallop punch for the flower. Someday, I may get better at taking pictures. But, for now, I prefer to make the cards...just not into all that photography stuff, so my apologies for the poor photos!

Friends are Flowers...

Just a simple little card I made as a thank you. This is an old sentiment from Hero Arts circa 1995 (yikes!), but I've always really liked it.
Ink is Jumbo Java chalk by Tsukineko, PP is Karen Foster, cardsotck is SU!, ribbon by May Arts and an EK success punch.

Tucker

These are the hardest cards for me to make. Sympathy. Especially sympathy for a pet. This card honors Tucker, a beloved dog of some friends of mine.

Poor Rosie!

Is this the saddest, pitiful-est face you've ever seen?

A week after surgery, Rosie is doing well. The incisions are healing nicely, but they are a bit itchy. So, as much as she would like to be free of them, she must continue to wear the collar and an old t-shirt of mine. We did try little baby socks on her back feet, but she was able to pull them off.

She's not the happiest of campers....she loves to play and chew with her toys but the collar prevents her from doing that. She can pick them up and carry them around, but it's just not the same...

And doorways have been a bit of a problem. She struggles with how much room she has to give herself to go through one without crashing into it.

There is a bright side....Skyler is afraid of the collar and keeps her distance from Rosie...which is just fine by Rosie! The good news is that the 3 lumps that were removed, 2 fibroids and 1 cyst were all benign. The stitches and staples come out next week.
