Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day! Yes, I know it is a day late...just couldn't get around to getting it on the blog yesterday. This is the card I sent my mom...and, unfortunately, it is late getting to her. I can't believe a card I mailed from KY to IL last Wednesday did not make it in time to her. I've mailed dozens of items from CO to IL on a Wednesday and it usually gets there in 2 days, definitely in 3! So, what's up? Is Pony Express still alive and well here in good 'ol KY???

Ok, enough of that. The card is SU! 6 x 6 paper, some May Arts silk ribbon and sentiment by Northwoods. Used my Fiskars scallop border punch and nesties circles/scallops.

You Hoo....

This is a birthday card I sent to my brother in law last month. It was one sheet of double sided paper I found at Dee's scrapbooks in Ft. Myers when I was there in February. I can't remember the manufacturer, and I've never seen it since. The front side is the owls hiding in the trees and the back side is covered in owls. I cut out some trees for branches and added them under the hiding owls and cut out an owl and popped up on a ribbon branch. Sentiment is from Hero Arts.
