Papercrafting Inspiration: Magazine Monday Week 40

I really needed to get the ol' mojo back in gear after a few week's hiatus, so I looked at a few challenge blogs.  I found my challenge at Papercrafting Inspiration:  Magazine Mondays.  Each week a magazine cover is posted as inspiration....we're free to make anything....as long as it's made with paper!  Here's this week's cover inspiration:

And here's my card:

I chose the citrus-y colors and ray image for my birthday card.

All supplies are from Papertrey Ink except for the numbers which are the Parker number dies by Memory Box.

Avery Elle August Challenge

I've got a card for the August Avery Elle Challenge.  You can read all about it and see the other entries here.

Using the Fanfare Clear stamp set I made an anniversary card that will soon be finding its way to my sister in law and her husband.

Cardstock is Bermuda Bay by SU! and white by Neenah, Versamagic ink in Turquoise Gem, gemstones from Hero Arts and ribbon from my stash.

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

It's that time of the month again...the PTI Blog Hop.  I always have good intentions each month, but.......
I'm really liking the color/sketch inspirations for the hop this month...they got my mojo going...especially this one:

                      PTI-fast-food-6
Here's what I came up with:

I think it's a great masculine card which is something I always struggle with.  I'm definitely going to make a few more for my stash, and maybe in a few different color combinations.   I think what really made me like it was the texture I added to the base card with the Book Print Impression Plate.  I ran it through my Big Shot, no tabs, and it gave a very slight, rather than the usual crisp impression.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Lil' Inkers!

Lil' Inkers is turning 3 this month!  And, to celebrate, they've asked their fans to make a birthday card inspired by this photo:

I love all the colorful pictures, but the one that sang happy birthday, perhaps? to me was the rainbow birthday cake.  I could eat my weight in cake, any kind, and I really like rainbows.  So, this was a no brainer...make a rainbow birthday card!

I used the Lil' Inkers Fanfare Scalloped Border Die and the sentiment is from their Balloon Builders Stamp Set.  Stampin' Up provided the rainbow of cardstock and a bit of white twill ribbon was the frosting on the cake, so to speak!

Avery Elle March Challenge

The Avery Elle March AEI♥U Challenge is under way and I am getting my entry in just under the wire!   I have looked at the beautiful inspiration photo (see below) so many times....I just love it....so serene and such gorgeous colors!

So, I decided to do something about it.   I pulled out my Avery Elle To The Point stamp set and got to work.  Here's what I came up with:

Cardstock is by Neenah and PTI and Su!, ink is VersaMagic and Memento, twine is from my stash.

PTI Blog Hop March 2013

It's Blog Hop day over at PTI!
And, I have a chance to participate this month!  Yeah!

The challenge this month was to use sequins.   I added them to my Memory Box Chloe stems for a bit of bling.  I also used PTI colors soft stone, harvest gold, summer sunrise, terracotta tile and ripe avocado that are featured as this month's Color Play colors.  The sentiment is from PTI's Half and Half stamp set.
